The Day the Earth Stood Still

The day the earth stood still, the earth shook, the curtain torn in two!

This day, the day a thief was saved as he was paying his due penalties, you know the one that all of us would have been cheering on for his due judgment by our legal system. Then there is the man by his side, God… Could you imagine having God, Jesus The Christ next to you so beaten he probably looked like a piece of meat hanging from sinew. Then there is the other guy…. The one mocking Christ as he too hung on his death tree… All three of them hanging on to life… Two deserving there place and the one taking mine and your place…

One mocked Christ, the other said help!

The question I have to ask is this… “Which one of the two are you?”  Is God real in your life or are you mocking Him? This is a question for my self as well.

This IS Good Friday the day of remembering The Lamb of God slain to fulfill the law and the final payment for the sins of the world. It is finished!

Luke 23:39-43 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him,  saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? “And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

A Love Story is my rendition of Christ’s Crucifixion. I wrote it and recorded it back in 2005. I wrote it out on valentines day while sitting at a Starbucks in west Sacramento thinking of the movie The Passion of The Christ. It is not for the light hearted.

To Listen click the link below it will take you to my old myspace page. (its the only web location of my old recordings)
